在 Mac OS X 中使用摄像头

有部分摄像头没有提供 Mac OS X 的驱动，或者虽然提供了驱动，但实际上并不能正常使用，我的 Logitech QuickCam Zoom 摄像头就是这样，虽然 Logitech 提供了官方的 Mac 驱动，但是使用官方的驱动，接上摄像头，发现图像很暗，根本无法使用。

如果您也遇到上面的问题，那么我向您推荐 macam 这款针对在 Mac OS X 中使用摄像头的免费的通用驱动程序。大家可以在它的主页下载。

USB Overdrive 是 shareware ，可以从它的主页下载。如果不注册，虽然有讨厌的提示框弹出，但是可以永久的使用，并且无功能限制。您可以试试。

我的 MIZY USB 游戏手柄 + PowerBook G4 + USB Overdrive 已经顺利的设置好，可以在游戏中正常使用。

How to share files between Ubuntu 8.04 and Mac OS X 10.5
NFS

1. Open Webmin in web browser on Ubuntu 8.04.
   
2. Webmin > Networking > NFS Exports > Add a new export > Input the "Directory to export" and set more options.
3. Click the "Create" button and back to the exports list > Click the "Apply Changes" button.
4. Press "Command + K" to open the "Connect to Server" dialog window in Finder on Mac OS X.
5. Input the "Server Address" like "nfs://yourubuntuhost/yourexportpath" and press the "Connect" button, and the NFS point will appear on your desktop.
   
6. Or open the "Directory Utility" in the "Applications/Utilities" > Mounts > Click the "+" button > Input the "Remote NFS URL" and "Mount location" > Click "Verify" > "Apply". The remote NFS will be mounted automatically.

Convert Media Format

1. Download ffmpegX from http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Video/ffmpegX.shtml
   
2. Download mpeg2enc from http://mjpeg.sourceforge.net/MacOS/mpeg2enc.intel
   
3. Download mencoder and mplayer from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mplayerosx/ffmpegXbinaries20060307.zip
   
4. Download RealVideo Binary Codec Packages for .rm file convert from http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html
   
5. Install ffmepgX
6. Unzip ffmpegXbinaries20060307.zip, and you will get two files, mencoder and mplayer
7. Start ffmepgX, then locate and install the mpeg2enc, mencoder and mplayer on the "Install binaries" window
   
8. Unzip RealVideo Binary Codec Package and install it
9. Go to "/usr/local/lib" folder
10. Copy the "codecs" folder inside "/Library/Application Support/ffmpegX" and rename this copy "reallib"
11. Restart ffmepgX and enjoy your media converting
    

Note: You must rename the file extension "rmvb" to "rm" for convert RealVideo file.
Note: Only mencoder based presets will work with .rm file now.
